Vitamins, supplements & herbs for women 40+
Vitamins, supplements and herbs are non-hormonal therapies, available over-the counter OTC (sold without a prescription), and used widely in the treatment of hot flashes by women all over the world.
Businesses have realized the commercial potential and have come up with a vast array of products to treat menopausal symptoms.
There’s a wide array of products claimed to help women in menopause, like black cohosh, dong quai, evening primrose oil, flaxseed, ginseng, hops, maca, omega-3 fatty acids, pine bark, pollen extract, sage, soy, and siberian rhubarb, but are they really effective? And safe?
There are few studies done by manufacturers on the efficacy and safety of herbal supplements.
In this workshop you should learn
- what products are effective for the management of menopause symptoms
- what products are considered safe
- how to use supplements and herbals properly
- whether multivitamins are important for women in midlife
- how much calcium you should take to prevent osteoporosis
